To get the most out of the site you need your own Personal Account. If you are a single subscriber you will already have this. If you are a student at school or college, then you should log on using the school ID and then create your own personal account.



You will then be able to access the forum, conferencing and online assessment.

Using the Online Help

The MathsNet sites have context-sensitive online help which is always available by clicking on the help button - the button can be found on all the main pages near the top right. When the button is green it means that there is some help available on the currently displayed page, when it's grey then the help will open up on the index.

MathsNet imageClicking the help button will open up the help information in a pop-up window. The example shown right is the main Index page. The actual content of this list will depend upon your user account type. The list can always be displayed again by clicking the Index button at the top of the help pop-up window.

MathsNet imageNext to the Index button, the How? button will list all those help options that start with "How do I" in order to quickly get you to the most commonly asked questions.

To search the entire online help enter your search term in the search box at the top tight and press the Return key. This will display a list of results grouped by the general area (such as Account, Classes etc.) so that you can pick the most likely one that will answer your question. The example below shows some of the results from searching for password:
